Back in November, we had an interview and live report with The Slants at PMX. They recently performed at Lestats in San Diego. Sarah went to give us an update on our friends who brought us the album Slanted Eyes, Slanted Hearts. Check out the new live report and interview with them!
Also! We here at Project: JRock Events (USA) enjoy our JRock, but that's not ALL we're interested in! We also enjoy meeting up with American-based Japanese bands, and American bands that have taken inspiration from JRock and visual kei bands. If you or someone you know are in a band like that, please let us know! We think you deserve recognition, too, and we're willing to help. Contact us by emailing Melony.

Hello all! It's March, which means that spring is starting to creep up on us--hopefully it starts creeping a little faster! It also means that the Project: JRock Events (USA) website is having its one-year anniversary! March 9 to be precise. We don't have anything special planned for that day, but we certainly have a lot going on this month, including more Taste of Chaos coverage (but I promise that isn't all).
We've been keeping the News & Upcoming Events section pretty up to date, so make sure you look there to see if there's any Japanese bands coming to your area!

The Rockstar Taste of Chaos starts in just under a week...and we've got something special to get you guys even more excited about it! Thanks to some help from the folks over at TOC, we have pre-tour email interviews with D'espairsRay, MUCC, and The Underneath. We hope you enjoy these, and we hope you enjoy the TOC tour even more. Be sure to go out and support JRock in America!

We've updated the site with information on upcoming tours from The Boredoms and The Pillows!
We also now have our first addition to the Articles section: Shopping for JRock in Tokyo. Were you ever the one flipping through the pages of Shoxx and Cure and Gothic & Lolita Bible and just thinking about how you could make your wardrobe stand out like that? Or you cosplayed as alice nine. more for the reason that you wanted their clothes rather than wanting to be them? (by Sarah)
recruiting--reporters wanted!
We are looking for reporters on the east coast (preferrably northeast) and in Texas.
Have you ever wanted to work in the Japanese music scene, covering Jrock events, concerts, and even interviewing your favorite bands? Then look no further!
We are currently recruiting volunteers on the east coast and in Texas to become reporters for Project: Jrock Events (USA). These reporters will have to write live reports, photograph live shows, and may have the chance to interview Jrock bands. There will also be occasional other duties to be done as well. Benefits include free convention entry and the chance to meet various Jrock bands.
If this sounds interesting to you and you would like to be a part of our team, please fill out the following and email it to Melony:
Name
Preferred name/what you want to be called
Age (no persons under 18)
Location
previous experience (not required but helps)

Writing sample
*Example of what we can expect in about 300-500 words. We accept live reports you've done in the past. If you haven't written any live reports, you can submit a writing sample such as a review of a CD, or some other event you've attended. Basically what we're looking for is something that will demonstrate that you can write something that is less focused on the personal, and more on the broader picture. For example, if you were to write a live report, we don't want to know about how you got the rail and got to touch the vocalist's hand, we want to know about the band and their interaction with the audience as a whole. Be sure to send your best work because most of our decision is based on your writing sample.
Thank you and we look forward to working with you!

What you are looking at now is the brand new Project: JRock Events (USA) layout! After nearly a year with the old one, we decided it was time for a new coat of paint.
First of all, with our new layout, we have a bunch of new articles. We have an interview with DJ SiSeN from during the Darkest Labyrinth vol.7 tour with BLOOD, along with a live report for BLOOD from the same tour, which you can see featured in our top banner (created by Weez). We also have an email interview with Jui and Rame from Vidoll, who will be appearing at MegaCon in Orlando, FL this spring. AND we will have a couple more new articles popping up within the next few days. Don't forget to check out our NEWS section to see more information on some new upcoming events, including T.M. Revolution at NY Comic Con and a short US tour with Maximum the Hormone!
Second, please notice that the new layout has a slightly different navigation.
notice
Please pardon our dust! The new layout still under construction!
